Training

Hands-on IT training, built on labs and real projects

Courses in cloud, DevOps, security, databases, programming, AI and desktop support, with preparation for the certification exams you then sit yourself. For engineering teams, we also run programs against your own codebase.

Courses

Seven tracks, from your first support ticket to a professional-level exam

AWS and cloud certification

Hands-on labs, projects you build end to end, and practice tests, toward the AWS certification that fits where you are.

Prepares you for

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and Professional
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • AWS Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty

DevOps

Infrastructure as code, pipelines and the operations around them: build it, ship it, watch it, and keep the bill under control.

What you work with

  • Terraform
  • Ansible
  • GitLab
  • GitHub
  • Bitbucket
  • Python
  • Linux
  • PowerShell

And around it

  • Networking in the cloud
  • Cost management
  • Logging and monitoring

Security, offensive and defensive

Both sides of security. Attacks are practised only in lab environments built for them, alongside the detection, hardening and response that stop them.

Prepares you for

  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst)
  • ISC2 CC (Certified in Cybersecurity)
  • ISC2 SSCP
  • ISC2 CISSP

ISC2 sets its own experience requirements; CISSP, for example, asks for five years of relevant paid work.

Databases

Relational and non-relational databases, with the focus on running them in the cloud: design, performance, backup and access control.

What you work with

  • Oracle Database
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • IBM Db2
  • Amazon RDS
  • Amazon Aurora
  • Amazon DynamoDB

Programming

Writing, testing and debugging real programs, from the first script to code someone else can maintain.

What you work with

  • Python
  • Java

AI for business and for coding

Two tracks. For business: using AI tools well, where they go wrong, and what should never be pasted into one. For coding: building with AI assistants and models, and checking what they write.

Levels

  • AI for business
  • AI for coding

Windows desktop support

Supporting Windows users and machines: setup, troubleshooting, accounts and permissions, networking problems, and working a support ticket from first call to resolution.

Levels

  • Beginner
  • Advanced

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

Learn what the AWS Cloud is, what it costs and who secures what, by touring the console, setting a budget and pricing a workload, then answering exam-style questions across all four domains of the Cloud Practitioner exam.

Beginner · 8 modules · 8 labs · 505 practice questions

Open the course

AWS Certified Developer – Associate

Learn to build, secure, deploy and debug applications on AWS the way the Developer – Associate exam expects, by writing Python and AWS CLI code against Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge and KMS, shipping it with AWS SAM and a CI/CD pipeline, then reasoning through exam-style questions.

Intermediate · 11 modules · 11 labs · 632 practice questions

Open the course

AWS Solutions Architect – Associate

Learn to design AWS systems that are secure, resilient, fast and cheap to run, the four things the Solutions Architect – Associate exam tests, by building them with the AWS CLI and Python and then reasoning through the trade-offs in exam-style questions.

Intermediate · 11 modules · 11 labs · 565 practice questions

Open the course

Building a DevSecOps pipeline

Put security checks where every change already passes, the CI/CD pipeline, so that secrets, vulnerable code, risky infrastructure and unsigned images are stopped before they ship, and every release leaves evidence an auditor can read.

Intermediate · 6 modules · 5 labs · 270 practice questions

Being written next

  • Secure software development
  • Managing cloud infrastructure: deployment and scaling
  • DevOps, CloudOps and FinOps
  • Infrastructure as code
  • Cybersecurity
  • Machine learning
  • Architecture in the cloud and on premises
  • Product architecture
  • Python programming
  • Shell scripting on Ubuntu

Each is taught against the enterprise and government frameworks it touches, in the same format: lessons, hands-on labs on Ubuntu or the cloud, and practice questions.

How the courses run

Practise it, build it, test yourself, then sit the exam

  1. 01

    Labs

Every topic is practised hands-on in a lab, not only shown on a slide.

  2. 02

    Projects

Each track builds toward projects you complete end to end, and can explain afterwards.

  3. 03

    Practice tests

Questions we write ourselves against each exam's published objectives — never leaked exam content.

  4. 04

    You sit the exam

When you are ready, you book and take the exam yourself with the official provider. We do not run exams or sell exam vouchers.

An independent training provider. Pontelon is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorized training partner of AWS, CompTIA, ISC2, Microsoft, Oracle or IBM. Certification and product names are trademarks of their owners. Exams, fees and eligibility are set by each provider and change over time, so check the provider's current exam guide before you book. Course length, format and price depend on the track: ask us.

For engineering teams

Programs that run against your codebase

We do not teach from a sample app. Bring your repository, your stack and your real constraints, and your team leaves having fixed something that was actually wrong.

Secure development

3 daysEngineers shipping web services

By the end, your team can

  • Find and fix the OWASP Top 10 in your own codebase, not a sample app
  • Write authorization that scopes by identity instead of checking a role flag
  • Build rate limits, SSRF allowlists and fail-closed defaults that hold up
  • Leave with a regression test for every class of bug you found

Machine learning in production

4 daysEngineers and data teams putting models in front of users

By the end, your team can

  • Structured output, schema validation, and what to do when the model is wrong
  • Guardrails that are testable properties rather than prompt suggestions
  • Cost architecture: deterministic pre-filters, caching, and bounded spend
  • Evaluation that catches a regression before your users do

Cloud & DevOps foundations

4 daysTeams moving to or already stuck in the cloud

By the end, your team can

  • Containerize and pipeline an existing service end to end
  • Read a cloud bill as an architecture diagram and find what is wrong
  • Migrations, health endpoints and rollbacks you can run at 3am
  • Infrastructure behind interfaces, so local dev needs no cloud account

Automation & tooling

2 daysAnyone losing hours a week to a manual process

By the end, your team can

  • Pick the process worth automating — and recognize the ones that are not
  • Idempotency, retries and failure handling that do not create duplicates
  • Scheduling, monitoring, and making a silently failing job visible

How team programs run

Your code in, a findings document out

  1. 01

    Bring your codebase

Onsite or remote, in cohorts of up to twelve — beyond that nobody gets their own code looked at, which is the part that makes it work.

  2. 02

    Work on your own systems

Each program is roughly a third instruction and two thirds supervised work on your own systems. Individual modules can be pulled out as a one-day workshop where a full program is more than you need.

  3. 03

    Leave with the findings

A written findings document covering what we found in your codebase during the sessions, the fixes applied, and the ones we recommend but did not have time for — prioritized, with the reasoning included. Course materials are yours to keep and re-run internally.

Ask about a course or a cohort

Tell us the track or certification you are after, or what your team runs and where it hurts. We will reply with the format, length and price that fit.
